One the best business ideas starting with £10 was awarded to a student from Maplesden Noakes School Ben Bartlett a young Entrepreneur from the company Bush Grub presented the prize. A few grubs were eaten in the Enterprise Zone but most declined!!
2 Young Enterprise Companies representing Highsted Grammar School & Marsh Academy set up shop and traded at the event. They also spoke to visiting students and teachers about their experience of running a business in school and what they have so far achieved in terms of profit and skills. To find out more about Company Programme please visit Young Enterprise – Company Programme. Teachers stopping to chat were given information about one day classroom programmes but more information is available Here
Richard and his team from WiseUp were invited along by Kent Foundation and they provided a maze team challenge that proved very popular with students.
It was an enjoyable event for years 7-13 and we hope that students that stopped off at our stand learnt something about setting up and running business and will think about this type of career option in the future. We look forward to the 2016 Choices4U Live.
