KCC sponsored the Kent Company of the Year 2014 competition at Oakwood House back in May 2014. Paul Carter addressed the audience of teachers and business community volunteers and confimed KCC would like to see 50% of Kent schools taking part in Company Programme in 2015. Dover Harbour Board have continued to provide funding to all Dover schools running Company Programme. Lesley James, the Chair of the Young Enterprise Dover Board, supported the companies alongside the Business Advisors in 2013/14. It proved to be a successful year with inTEQuk from Dover reaching the South East Final in June.
Creaseys in Tunbridge Wells have provided the students from the West Kent Board with financial guidence over their Company Programme experience in 2013/14. Staff from Creaseys helped the students with running workshops , completing their monthly financial reports and liquidating the company at the end of the year. The Accountancy Experts based in Gravesend & Dartford have developed a relationship with the North West Kent Board over the past year. Rumana Aktar & Chris Martin, the directors, have pledged their support again this year. The company sponsored the North West Kent final and gave a £250 prize to the winning company. Rumana did the Company Programme at school and has agreed to be a Business Advisor in 2014/15 for Dartford Grammar School for Girls. South East Water has supported both the Mid Kent & Medway Board and the Kent Public Speaking. competition in 2013/14. Julia Dixon , head of HR, was instrumental in offering to sponsor the award for the Kent Public Speaking competition held back in February. This was followed by sponsoring the South East Company Programme final 2014 held at Guilford Cathedral in June.

The FSB Kent & Medway have supported Young Enterprise in Kent for the past 2 years. Nationally Young Enterprise is their charity of the year. FSB members are Business Advisors for companies and have judged at the area company of the year competitions. They have also partnered with Young Enterprise at the Choices4U event.Cf
Ashford Borough Council’s Mayor’s for the past three years have supported local Primary Schools in enabling them to run day programmes with Young Enterprise, giving the pupils the opportunity to participate in understanding Enterprise and Business.
